Free Website Audit: A 15-Point Checklist You Can Do in 20 Minutes

By Prime Connect Media · October 22, 2026

You do not need to be technical to find out whether your website is helping or hurting your business. Grab your phone, open your site, and go through these fifteen checks. Give yourself one point for every “yes”.

Speed and mobile

  1. Does the home page load in under 3 seconds on mobile data? Turn off Wi-Fi and try it.
  2. Can you read everything without zooming? Text should be large and buttons easy to tap.
  3. Does it look right on both a phone and a laptop? Nothing cut off, nothing overlapping.

First impression

  1. Can a stranger tell what you do, for whom and where within 5 seconds?
  2. Is there one clear main button, such as “Book now”, “Call us” or “Get a quote”, at the top?
  3. Are the photos real (your team, your place, your work) rather than generic stock photos?

Contact and booking

  1. Is your phone number tappable on mobile?
  2. Does your contact form actually arrive? Send yourself a test right now.
  3. Can customers book, order or request a quote online without waiting for a reply?
  4. Do you answer after hours, with online booking, a chat assistant or at least an auto-reply?

Google and trust

  1. Does your site appear when you search your business name on Google?
  2. Do you have a verified Google Business Profile with the same name, address and phone as your site?
  3. Do you show genuine reviews from real customers?
  4. Is the information current? Hours, prices, services and the copyright year.
  5. Does the address bar show a padlock (https) with no security warning?
